Re: mixed timebase - 14 years agoThanks for the info. Followup questions: "removing pulldown from 60i"---I was wondering if the 29.97 is not from 60i but from 23.98PA from which the pulldown was NOT removed during log and transfer. would that give footage with interlacing? (in this case, the problem wouldnt be in the shoot but in the ingest) "de-interlaced and converted to 24p": that was my thought anby rmilestone - Café LA mixed timebase - 14 years agoI was given a project timeline with mixed timebase: some 23.98 some 29.97, all in codec DVCPROHD 1080p30 according to the Analyze Clip function (1280X1080 aspect shot on P2s). It played through the editing with no problems or stutters (though got fussy with more than 8 audio tracks, requiring lots of audio renders), but output is another story. The timeline timebase was 29.97 despite the faby rmilestone - Café LA Re: hardware or software? - 14 years agoSorry. I am running an ACD 24" and an ACD 30" both off a MAC PRO DUO QUAD late 2008 model. it uses an ATI Radeon X1900 XT card. I do not think it is my config since this has worked for me for two years (at least until the 7.0.1 upgrade). I have continued to trouble shoot, and it appears that the old projects are not affected as long as I ensure that the Audio/Video output settiby rmilestone - Café LA Re: hardware or software? - 14 years agoThere are two similar posts on C Cow about people who upgraded to 7.0.1 and saw this same problem for the first time. Any body else seeing this?by rmilestone - Café LA Re: hardware or software? - 14 years agoI am talking about the Apple Cinescreen(30" which is simply Apple's brand of LCD monitor (a two LCD screen setup) which interfaces with the DVI port. I do not have an output card or broadcast monitor LCD. I usually use the view menu video output set to Cinescreen full screen and get a (sampled) smooth output from whatever window is active at the time. For some reason, this has stopped woby rmilestone - Café LA hardware or software? - 14 years agoWorking in FCP 7.0.1 OS 10.5.8. All systems were working fine. Started a new project DV 25 unknown frame rate and I captured at 29.97. The footage did not play correctly when viewed in viewer and sent to cinescreen output. It would play a few frames then freeze and then continue many frames later. Problem did not apprear at first in footage placed on timeline but after a few plays it wouldby rmilestone - Café LA DVX 100a footage freeze frames - 14 years agoFootage recorded on DVX100 unknown recording settings. Captured off another DVX100a at DV NTSC setup (29.97). Footage looked fine in monitor window, got "timecode breaks" warning, and looks ok in viewer and canvas. But when viewed on auxiliary Cinescreen it has notable freezes at inconsistent points for one or two frames (time code continues image repeats). Problem is worse out of vby rmilestone - Café LA time remap and media manager - 15 years agoWhen copying sequence and data to new drive using media manager(for output to offsite color correction, etc), clips with time-remaps consistently copy to new sequence with wildly incorrect percentages. (Even clips which previously were remapped to altered % and returned to 100%.) Have others had this experience? Anybody know a workaround? That version was just prior to some export/import connections with Color and I am suspicious that problems with the interface are the culprit. The RAID (Sonnet/Atto configuration 5) rebuilt just before I reopened the project this time. The 3.1 TB capacity has only 225 gigs left. So it is 93% full whichby rmilestone - Café LA General error 34 - 15 years agoHave an FCP project that gives "General Error (34)" message on opening. Other FCP projects do not. This is currently only project linked to MediaArray (Sonnet RAID 5) which just rebuilt. It does not seem to have any effect on general run of project BUT project will not open a new sequence! Command N gives the dialog box for sequence format, but after accepting, no sequence opens.by rmilestone - Café LA Re: Color/FCP "send to FCP" failure - 15 years agoI am using "original format" or whatever the default says when doing the round trip. I had no problem with another project with DV format. I am suspecting that the problem is that this clip is part of a multiclip. I had "collapsed" the multiclip on this clip IN THIS SEQUENCE and thought that would be sufficient to over ride the multiclip problem. But I now suspect thatby rmilestone - Color Color/FCP "send to FCP" failure - 15 years agoI am exploring Color and had the following hang up: Clip in ProRes422HIQ goes to Color and Renders but on return loop it "hangs up" at 69% of the "load XML indicator bar" in FCP. THis occurs whether I return via "SEND TO FCP" or I export XML from Color to file and import XML file from FCP. ALways hangs at same place. AND I can send a clip to Color from a differby rmilestone - Color |
