In premiere its called "export to DVD" funnily enough, and I use it all the time>(when im o n premiere) I dont want to think about interfcaces or chapters or compression. just a basic export to dvd that makes an auto interface and does the compression on the fly... We have some huge chunks of video in large quicktimes files that need to be broken down, but the reel info needs to be intact. and the name and the logging note, is there a piece of sby deanwells - Café LA Re: DVC pro codec - 16 years agoas mentioned before "its a dvcpro50 quicktime."by deanwells - Café LA Re: DVC pro codec - 16 years agoMMM thats weird, I assumed that because it didnt work on 3 different macs that it must need a codec. its a dvcpro50 quicktime. Then I changed the font family in font book. They all magically appeared. Under the collection menu in font book there is 3 or 4 options like, computer, user, all fonts. Try changing that from whatever its on now to just computer fonts or try a couple of different ones. It worked for me. Good luck.by deanwells - Café LA DVC pro codec - 16 years agoMy machine wont read DVCpro codec files. Is there a free or otherwise codec that will enable quicktime/fcp to read this file type? You should be able to export using the "highest quality-90mins" setting and get a really good result. 104 minutes isnt too long to get good audio and picture quality.
