The Synthetic Aperture "Color Finnese" AE plugin is the most powerful of the two if you have it in your version of AE, although the FCP CC tools will work fine aswell. Robert S. When I playback uncompressed HD 23.98 with the presets set to 1080 23.98 no rendering is needed. We are just using it for testing as it is actually a DMAG from an S-Two Digital film recorder. One Mag holds about 33 minutes of uncompressed 4:4:4 RGB .dpx frames. I am capturing from the 4:2:2 HD 23.98 output from an identical DMAG in a DFR. Also I believe the Decklink rate for 1080 24psf is 127 mbps. I then erased the raid and restripped it as Mac OS Journaled with 256k blocks, after running the disk speed test again it reads at 360 mbps and writes at 283 mbps. Input performance is noticeably improved, however capture still freezes randomly.
