Bluey,by bluey - Café LA Re: SmoothCam jitters. - 12 years agoHi Phil - i couldn't tell you exactly how i did it, it was over a month ago - but i did get it to work, it can work. on a few of the shots i had to re-trim in order to lose more defined camera movements, but the majority of the shots were tripod-held, and the movement came from the passing vibration of cars on a motorway bridge. if there are defined pans and zooms in your shots granted it may notby bluey - Café LA Re: SmoothCam jitters. - 12 years agoThis problem is unique to FCP version 7, re-exporting as a self contained QT won't solve it in my experience either, however you can work around the problem by using the smooth/stabilize facility in Motion after experimenting with both sets of parameters. Theres actually many threads on this issue out there, browsing the Creative Cow forums may help also. I'll be working with stock footage as well as voice-over supplied by the client, and be responsible for graphic elements/titles, sound mix, colour grade etc. The end product will be 2-3 minutes long and delivered encoded for web use. It appears that upon export to quicktime the Smoothcam filter in FCP7 produces a result more akin to an earthquake effect rather that stabilisation, after looking fine in the timeline. From what i gather this is a bug of sorts in FCP7 after it working just fine in versions 6+. So bby bluey - Café LA Re: Weird Glitch on FCP 7 - 12 years agomaybe open up a previous auto-save version of the project file (if that was the final version of the animation) and export-reimport the quicktime and work with that, otherwise you could try checking your frame rate on the sequence settings and/or copy-paste the material into a new FCP project file?
