How does it look? - 14 years ago"Maybe your teaching can focus more on the aesthetics of editing rather than the program itself" yes that is an excellent idea if I can squeeze that into my companies business model some where I will certainly do it as of now is supposed to work like this teach them the following - log and capture - clean versions - language versions - simple edit - complex edit Anby paurray - Café LA Re: fcp PRO trainer also teaching imovie? How does it look? - 14 years agoSo I opened iMovie, looked at the pull down menus and started looking for the short cuts.... hmmm.... very funny ;-) Yeah, I am sure there are some funky features that kick ass etc And of course there are things in FCP that still drive me crazy! I am usually open for new/old ideas. Hey I have an abacus on my desk which I am experimenting with, with a view to keeping track of multipleby paurray - Café LA fcp PRO trainer also teaching imovie? Yes I will be at the super Meet assuming that I get my accommodation sorted out. And would love to see the demonstration :-) In the meantime would it be possible to get a demo version of your software that we could test before buying? I have one very simple question for you :-) We are doing all kinds of renaming here witby paurray - Café LA Re: P2 batch rename problems - 14 years agoHi Mike Thanks for your response. Sounds great! I guess this is it - Improved automatic naming makes it easier to identify clips that span multiple cards from yours truely LAFCPUG means renaming period then :-) will test it on my FCP 7 at home and see if I can work with the clips in FCP 6.06 (Andreas, the company I am working for really like off the shelf solutions. So they now look like this e.g. ¬?00152J in Excel I rename e.g. BTV00999-01 Back in FCP I still CAN NOT get all the clips re-linked in one foul swoop. But at least the relinking is now behaving consistently i.e. have done this 3 times now and eachby paurray - Café LA Re: P2 batch rename problems - 14 years agoHi Andreas Many thanks for your reply Have tried as you suggested with deleting the numbers It doesn´t seem to help e.g. my renamed clips are now CTV999-1 CTV999-2 CTV999-3 rather than CTV0999-01 CTV0999-02 CTV0999-03 and my original clips are now 152J 161A 14D5 instead of 00152J etc There was one which had a 0 in the middle and I tried both with/witby paurray - Café LA Re: P2 batch rename problems - 14 years agoBack in FCP we lose a clip when we reimport We had 75 going out and have 74 coming back in! opps it´s 1 clip + 74 which means 75 one problem less We´re running FCP 6.06, osx 10.5.7, on 6 month old iMacs and Mac Pro´sby paurray - Café LA P2 batch rename problems - 14 years agoHi All Am trying to batch rename P2 Clips and am running into problems!
