***1. WHAT'S UP WITH LACPUG?

lacpug is once again sponsored by Blackmagic Design
and we are grateful.

Greetings.
Yes I know. it’s been a long time since I sent out this newsletter. Since the
pandemic started, I’ve been trying to figure out how to make lacpug relevant.

As many of you know, lacpug has always been about community and face to
face networking. Those monthly meets at the Gallery Theatre were lacpug’s
heart and its identity. All else we would do from month to month, built upon
that identity. So while we have not gone away and continue to post almost daily
on social media, things are different. And quieter.

So where do we go from here? I’m not sure yet. I may have to bite the bullet
and join the Zoom Generation and produce weekly webinars or monthly webinars.
To be honest I hate webinars. For many reasons, but that’s another story.

The “good” news is the Gallery Theatre notified me that the earliest lacpug can
meet will be April 2021. And that may be in a limited capacity. We might be
normal by Fall of 2021.

In the meantime I hope to hear from you as to how you wish lacpug to proceed.
And lacpug will proceed.

***5. SPONSOR LACPUG

Lacpug needs another Meeting Sponsor. Desperately. We may not be able
to finish out the year if I can't find someone. Expenses have risen
significantly over the past few months due to a myriad of reasons and I
need another sponsor to cover these new expenses. Currently Blackmagic
Design and DigitalFilm Tree generously cover our meetings. If you know
of a company who might like to be part of this community, let me know.
I’m searching hard, but I can use your help. Write me.

See you sometime in the future. In meantime, keep creative.

Peace- and bless you Ralph, Charles, Doug, Mik, Pete, Bruce and Norm.
