***1. NEXT LACPUG MEETING

lacpug Meets are once again sponsored by Blackmagic Design for
all of 2018 and we are grateful.

Join us Wednesday June 27 for a very special lacpug Meet. It’s lacpug’s
18th birthday!

We will celebrate with the official debut of Bradley Olsen’s OFF THE
TRACKS
, a documentary about Final Cut Pro X. Brad will be in attendance
to introduce the film and for Q and A.

Also, the original creator of Final Cut Pro, Randy Ubillos returns to lacpug.
We intend to take a trip back to the beginning. Back to the early years of the
Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group and the Digital Revolution. Back to the
beginings of Final Cut Pro, from its origins at Macromedia all the way until
Final Cut Pro X. There will be  never before seen footage, and never before
heard stories. Learn how it all started and where it all went. And some of the
original members of the FCP team will be in attendence.

Admission will be $10.00 per person plus ticket fee.

Plus World Famous Raffle. Going to be huge so buy tickets soon!

WATCH: FREE webinar this Tuesday, 11:30AM PST, June 18 with Kevin P
McAuliffe.

Working with HitFilm Pro

This webinar will give you an introductory look at HitFilm Pro, and why it’s
a tool that editors should consider, when choosing the right compositing
application to go along with the non-linear editing application. HitFilm has
come a long way since it’s inception, and has included tools (like Mocha
HitFilm,) that gives the big compositing applications a run for their money!
