Final
Cut Server and Burning Blu-ray DVDs
Join us as we welcome Apple and
the LA debut of Final
Cut Server. Also Adobe
will show us how to create and burn a Blu-ray DVD using Encore.
Philip Hodgetts will debut what may be the scariest "editing"
tool you will ever see, The Assistant
Editor. Plus, Stump
The Gurus, Show and Tells and of course, World Famous
Raffle.

solve all of your problems concerning FCP. If they can't solve

Cut Server? Well, you don't. You need to see it and touch
it in order to understand it. Final Cut Server is not just for
the big Post Houses and Production Companies. It's for all of
us. This will be the Los Angeles debut of FC Server and we are
honored to have Apple's Luke Tristram show it off to us. You
don't want to miss this

in lobby complete with Green Screen.
GMAX will be there showing
off their storage solutions. Lots of other stuff will be showing
off too. The break
is a chance to hang out and meet and greet and get your problems
solved. Lots of FCP Gurus come to lafcpug meetings and this is
your chance to network and make contacts and get your problems
solved. Snacks and Beer and Wine
will be on sale in the lobby. Proceeds go to the Gallery Theater.
9:00PM - 9:35PM - Burning Blu-ray
DVDs and authroing with Adobe Encore. - Kevan O'Brien
There is a lot of confusion about Blu-ray. But one thing that
is not confusing is the only way a FCS user can burn a Blu-ray
DVD is with Adobe Encore and a Blu-ray burner. Adobe's Kevan
O'Brien will show us how.
9:40 - 9:50PM - Stefano Torrese and Diego Antolini - Show
and Tell
Stefano Torrese who is the head of the
Italy Final Cut Pro User Group and Diego Antolini will show
clips of their work.
9:50PM - 10:00PM - "Journey"an
animated painting by David Friedman - Show and Tell
"Journey" is a cyberdelic meditation, a visual/aural
ride inside the flow of spirit. It is a time-based animated
painting that combines pigment, pixel and photon in a synthesis of
art, heart and hardware. The consequence is a compelling
kaleidoscopic flythrough of radiant colors and luminous mandala
geometries. My art is informed by the confluence of painting,
CG, motion graphics, Internet, gaming and VJ.
