I am having problems with my audio drifting out of sync during capture. I can not capture anymore than 2 or 3 min before the audio drifts out of sync after 10 min the audio is out by 1 or 2 seconds.
I am using FCP 5 on a G5 Dual 2.3 4Gb RAM capturing to a internal Western Digital 250 GB SATA2 HHD 16 mb cache. I am using a Panasonic AJ-D250 deck with Firewire output card.
I have ran system update and have the latest versions of FCP and Quicktime.

What am i missing?? any help is appreciated

Thanks

Andrew

what is the sample rate of the recorded audio?
(this is generally displayed along with timecode info, when you turn on the deck's "display" function)

does it match the sample rate in your Capture Preset?
check this in your A/V settings under the Application Menu

it could be that your tape's audio is 32k, and you are capturing it at 48k.
if that's the case,
go to to Capture Preset tab of the A/V settings, and make a new Capture preset for your 32k audio

nick

all audio is 48 Khz
