problem creating a 16:9 QT export

Hello,

I am working in FCP5 on G5, 10.4.4. My sequence is anamorphic, and I want to create a 16:9 anamorphic QT so that I can create a 16:9 DVD in iDVD 6 .
My problem is that everytime I export a QT, it ends up being 4:3 in quicktime player and idvd. I have checked all settings and am stumped. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

If it's 16:9 then it will apeear tall and thin on any system that cannot read 16:9.

Have you tried playing the DVD on a 16:9 capable tv? Don't worry about the quicktime shape if you are going to DVD.

because you have :

- to specify anamorphic in you export (this is for you image itself)

AND

- specify the size of the image in the QuickTime settings (this is for the presentation QuickTime will make of it, say... the proportion of it's window.
