Glow Effect / Transition?

Glow Effect / Transition?

How do you get the glow transition / filter that is so popular with the Entertainment Tonight / Insider crowd? I've tried a few things, but it always ends up looking like a white flash (dip to color) as opposed to glow.

BCC's cartooner plugin has a glow preset. Magic Bullet and Natress' Film Effects can do a white diffussion (not sure that's what you're looking for). Motion has a glow filter if you've got Motion.

Are you talking about a simple "glow" or an exposure blow-out? They are 2 totally different FX.

I hope to find both.

I looked over Cartooner, and it doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for, but it's hard to tell with the miniscule still pics on the website.

I will try Film FX white diffusion, and see how it works.

Anyone else?

Graeme's Glow Transition is good, that coupled with a Gaussian blur that you keyframe. I also use Joe's Color Glow, which is a filter, and I keyframe it.

Sapphire plugins by GenArts (spendy) have a great glow transition, but Graeme's glow transition looks very similiar and is FAR cheaper.

Everybody's doing that glow now, and I'm curious to know how it's done. Let us know if Graeme's filter looks like the one you saw.
