does fcp have auto guides or lock guides sorta like motion that tell you where the center point of the screen or help to lock line points to other elements?

Nope. Some people have requested this feature, but bear in mind that FCP is an editing application, not for layout and graphics.
You can create your own guide by creating a Color Matte, then cropping it (Bottom or Right) by 50 per cent. Dip the Opacity to allow you to see through it to reveal your image. www.derekmok.com
The reply about cropping a color matte can be taken a step further.
Either a matte in FCP, or a grid created in FCP- place this clip on the top timeline track in FCP. Lock the track. This way, when you click into the Canvas to re-position your image, you won't accidentally select your matte or grid, as its locked in place, just the images on unlocked tracks. Yes it is indeed an editing app but one reason Apple boast about is its ability to work in graphics and effects so much better than Avid (it's true.) So according to their own reasoning, it really should have guides, grids, and snappable guides like Motion or DVDSP.
