P2 transfer from camera to Mac Pro via firewire

Just new to HD and the HVX-200.The only way I have to get P2 files into my Mac Pro is thru the camera via firewire and using the camera in PC mode I am able to do that. Everything works great in FPC and the MXO monitors just fine. Only problem is when trying to remove unwanted P2 media later from the computer hard drive. All the files are locked and must be individually unlocked before they will expel from trash. Is there a better way?

Thanks, Tom

Hold the OPTION key down when you empty the trash. That will toss them without needing to unlock.

Sorry for the dumb question. I soon figured out that by leaving the camera attached to the computer while FCP imports the P2 files, it automatically ends up placing the files you select onto the scratch drive as well as in the browser in the proper format.
