Re-link w/ 24bit audio

hey guys,

So we shot our feature and recorded 24-bit production audio. We mastered to DVcam that only holds 16-bit audio. We have reached picture lock and need to re-sync the 24-bit audio.

I tried re-syncing by merging the clips, exporting out a multi track audio file and re-linking but doesn't seem to work because the new 24-bit audio doesn't drop in to the timeline.

any help?
