check it out:

export an XML from FCP,
open in "Scene Detector"
run the process, and get a new XML with your clip/s marked up at the scene changes.

just so you know,
ive been on the lookout for a decent scene detector for a while.
i've tried CatDV, and TokiShot,
and this one is both: (A) simpler to use,
and (B) seems to be more accurate.

so an initial thumbs up for this from me.
(first off-the-bat request suggestion:
add a marker on the first frame/clip so i can make subs of al my clips)

if i'd had this 2 months ago, i may have changed my whole work-flow!

I hadn't heard of Video Toolshed or if I did I forgot, but everyone ought to look at the product list. There are some very useful tools here.
