New! Pro Res HD video stutters after QT 7.4.5 update!!

Pro Res HD video stutters after QT 7.4.5 update in FCP and in QuickTime! The video plays fine for about 4 seconds then stutters horribly! I Have tried different drives, Re-Rendering out the video and still the same problem!

Anyone else have this problem? Possible solutions.

Thanks, Mark

I guess it is that Fire Wire Drives cant keep up with 1920x1080 Pro Res.

Thanks, mark

You talking ProRes HQ? Requires a MacPro for one thing.

You'll need at least a two drive array to cut ProRes HQ at 1080i smoothly.

1080i over FireWire?? Can ProResHQ work that in the real world? I would try SATA II (300 GBs) and stripe a couple for best bandwidth. Should support a few streams (multiple tracks) too.

I love FireWire, I use 800's-- for DV25. But the protocol is so frigging chatty-- it even listens in to cell phone calls and occasionally dismounts drives to do so -- I wouldn't risk raiding them for higher bandwidth formats.
