How convert .mov to .flv?? (do not have compressor)Posted by Robert
Dear Everyone,
thanks in advance to anyone who reads this. I have edited a trailer on FCP HD 4.5 which I need to convert to a .flv (320x240pixels) for my website. My compressor does not work. Is there some other way to make a .flv file??? Thank you, Kind regards, Robert Powerbook G4, 15inch, OS 10.4.9, FCP HD 4.5
Yeah, but it isn't free. Sorenson Squeeze:
[www.sorensonmedia.com] Can't understand why your Compressor doesn't work...maybe reinstall it or upgrade to FCS2 for less than the cost of Squeeze: [store.apple.com] The upgrade version requires a valid serial number from a commercial version of Final Cut Studio, Production Suite, or Final Cut Pro 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. Academic and not-for-resale versions are not eligible for this upgrade. When life gives you dilemmas...make dilemmanade. ![]()
From On2:
[www.on2.com] For less than the cost of an upgrade. Hmmm... FCS2 exports FLV? I don't remember... ![]() www.strypesinpost.com

That's the best choice, low bitrates great quality, won't go wrong. Flash 9 supports h.264 in QT wrappers. FLV is encoded with the on2 codec from what i gather. but now... i need to piece the stuff together. For a streamable video, does the h.264/mov need to be embedded in an .swf? (i'm no web guy). ![]() www.strypesinpost.com
I have: File > QT Conversion > Flash Video (FLV)
