Avi Files. Audio good. No Vid.

I'm bringing AVI files into Final Cut from an RCA small wonder camera. Audio plays OK. No picture. Just a white screen. Same thing happens if I bring files into iMovie. Video is Ok on camera display or transfering to vcr.

To clarify: these are files I dragged from a folder on the desktop created by the camera.

My first attempt, using capture, was also not successful. It appears that the camera is not a "controllable device" and I'm not sure how to do an easy setup with this camera, or if this is possible.

You don't have the codec. Select one of the files, open in QuickTime Player, and press APPLE-I. List the information there.
