I have delivered a DVCPro HD 720 30p Quicktime to an AE artist that does not
have Final Cut Pro installed, is there a codec downloadable component they can use?
The artist hears sound but no video within QuickTime playback.
Thanks

I don't have a non-FCP system to test this out on but they can give this a try

Notice that it should NOT be installed on systems that have FCP already on it and it's also 10.5 only.

just export either an animation, photojpeg, animation or other lossless format

Hey Chris,

You didn't mention what your artist is using (Mac or PC). Since you sent DVCProHD in the first place, that means Alpha Channels aren't coming into play so you don't need to send huge lossless files. I would have re-exported ProRes files (small file while holding the image nicely) and sent the Artist a link to the ProRes decoder:

MAC:

PC:

Wow, AK...that's a neat little app thumbs down Would definitely try that, Chris.

Did what you said Joe & the artist said that the Pro Res file did not key as well as the
DVC Pro HD codec... as they downloaded the demo AK referenced to key the DVCPro HD, although the calibrated "demo" worked fine, the turn around for a license is 48 hrs.
So I'm back to Animation, which is what I probably should have done.
Thanks for all the support.

UPDATE:
Apparently Calibrated Software has great customer
service and responded asap, personally walked the artist thru the process
and all is good.
Big ups to AK

It's moot now, but can't understand why your artist says ProRes doesn't key as well as DVCPRO-HD. ProRes is a 10-Bit codec...much better for keying IMHO.
