Computer not responding to mouse button clicksPosted by digibody
Okay, I was able to open FCP 6.0.5, but suddenly, I'm able to move the mouse arrow around but the mouse buttons aren't responding seconds after I launch the application. I saved the project by typing in control + s, then forced quit out. Then, I noticed I couldn't select anything on my desk top after that, but again, the mouse arrow still moves around. I tried the following:
1. Zapping the RAM with control + option + p+ r, restarting seven times 2. Running Disk Warrior, first aid and verified disk permissions, which said "looks ok" 3. Restarting several times 4. Trashing perfs (recently did this) 5. Limiting to operating one application at a time ...and nothing worked. Suggestions? Could this be one of the new mac viruses I've heard about? 10.5.7, mac intel pro dual core 2.66 x2, 8 gigs ram, 55 gigs left on a 230 gig hard drive, just replaced the graphics card to a radeon 3784/512 ram... would that matter? Thank you.
No. Though the term "virus" gets thrown around inapplicably sometimes, there are still no Mac viruses. Unless you count "This is the honor-system virus. Please forward this email to everyone you know, then delete all your files. Thanks!"
