DO you have FCP 7? ProRes LT is only part of FCP 7. You don't need to download any software from Panasonic to use FCP to L&T this.

Apple ProRes 720p 29.97. Or whatever flavor that you happen to import this as.

YOu need to shoot the format you want to edit. You can edit 720p30 if you shot 720p30. That is an odd format, as 720p is a 60 frame format primarily. But, OK...
