My December nightmare is in the home stretch. After four editors, and a few midnights of fun with mixed frame rates & codecs, I'm shipping this piece out the door.
What I can't figure out now is why Media Manager is acting up. I have a :30 piece. If I include handles, Media Manager wants 156 GB of free space. If I don't include handles, it wants 3 GB. All my sources are tape captures with reel numbers & timecode. What else triggers this overindulgence from MM? What else can I troubleshoot here? Jeff
that's just weird, jeff.
i haven't heard of that happening. FCP weirdness can sometimes be cured by trashing your preferences. read this if you haven't done that before: [www.lafcpug.org] nick
oh, you didn't do that?
you have to do that! making the SEQUENCE clips independent, means making them independent of the BROWSER clips, which may have different in/out points, or none at all, so Media Manager only uses what's in the TIMELINE, not the entire clip thats in the browser. happy trails, nick
