DVCProHD footage to SD broadcast

Hi there,

I tried different things so far and I was never happy, so please help.

Here is the situation:
It's a 15min infomercial shot on DVCProHD 720 30p
and it has to delivered for different stations in SD. Very likely Beta SP but I also hope for digital delivery.

I'm going to also use Motion for the Graphics.

1)What are the best Audio/Video settings?

2)What are the best Sequence settings?

3)What are my options if I want to keep the quality as high as possible?

The only tool is my 2008 8-core Mac Pro.

Keep it native in FCP and go out through an AJA or Blackmagic card so the hardware does the down conversion.

What cropping? Center cropping? Yea.
