Trigger multiple Applescripts (uploads) in same batch?

Trigger multiple Applescripts (uploads) in same batch?
January 29, 2011 02:43AM
I like to add FTP destinations to my Compressor outputs for 1-click compress+upload (aka leave the office sooner). I use the Transmit FTP app, and save the destinations as droplets which Compressor interprets as Applescripts, which I can then attach to a job using the "Execute Applescript..." command.

I've always had the problem though that only the first file in a batch will upload. When the script is triggered, Transmit launches and that file starts to upload. But subsequent files don't queue up in Transmit for upload; nothing happens. Has anyone found a way to compress and then upload a batch all at once using this method?

TIA,
JVK

I haven't used the new version of Transmit, but I believe that you can "mount" your favorites on the Desktop. After doing so, you could then specify those as destinations for encoded files.

If you need to keep a local copy, you could create a "hot" folder for each output from Compressor and then have something like Deliver automatically transfer items in those folders to specified destinations (I haven't tried to use Transmit to do this, but Deliver can, I believe). Folder actions and AppleScript/Automator may allow you to do similar things but with more effort...

That actually will work, thanks! I didn't realize the "mount" command was in the program, but it turns out I can mount any of my FTP destinations as disks on the desktop.
