WEDDING EDITOR

Location not important.  Raw footage will be sent to editor on external firewire drive.

This is a position for an editor who can cut distinctive, fast-paced, documentary-style wedding videos. Must have a fine eye for detail, must be highly creative and must have extensive technical know-how. Shooting experience is a plus. Must be able to upload compressed video segments for review at regular intervals during the editing process (just until you've demonstrated a solid understanding of the style that we're after). Must have a basic understanding of color correction and working with audio, making corrections and enhancements as needed. Must have DVD authoring skills. The ability to meet firm deadlines is essential.

For examples of our editing style, please visit www.jamesryanfilms.com/screeningroom.htm We are looking for editors with a knack for documentary storytelling, i.e. editors who can incorporate sound into videos and not just rely on pretty slo-mo montages. We strive to convey a strong sense of our clients' personalities and the nature of their relationship along with beautiful imagery from the wedding day.

Pay is on a per-project basis and is commensurate with experience.

Please submit ALL OF THE FOLLOWING: (Inquires that do not include each of these items WILL NOT be considered)

1. A resume

2. Pay requirements

3. A link to any online demos

For preferred consideration, please send a FULL-LENGTH DVD of a wedding you've edited to:
