Exporting for Broadcast

Hey All -

Switched fro FCP 7 to Premiere 6. Trying to export the best quality movie for broadcast. The piece was shot on 7D's and edited in a sequence that match those settings.
My client wants the piece delivered with a .mov extension. the only place I can find that setting says it will export in 720 by 480. And the "Broadcast" settings are all H.264.
Can anyone help me get this out of my machine in best res with a .mov extension?

Hot burning deadline ... right now I am missing the export existing settings in FCP7

Thanks!!

OSX 10.8.4

Where do I put these files once downloaded?

Instructions are on the link I posted earlier. Import preset in AME.

Yea, Adobe does not have built in ProRes presets as they do not own ProRes. You can create them yourself in AME, but downloading them from the Adobe webpage is certainly easier.

You can also create a ProRes sequence right in Premiere itself.

Do you still have FCP 7 installed?

My software:
Pro Maintenance Tools - Tools to keep Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro running smoothly and fix problems when they arise
Pro Media Tools - Edit QuickTime chapters and metadata, detect gamma shifts, edit markers, watch renders and more
More tools...

1. Download and Unzip desired preset packages
2. Launch AME
3. In Preset Browser panel, click on Import Presets button and select desired (extracted) presets

Do the files need to be in a certain place? I have them in Application support/Adobe at the moment

Try creating a preset by clicking on the "+" sign in the presets window.

doesn't give me any ProRes or .mov options

What does the broadcaster actually want Troy? All my deliverable recently have been MXF Op1a, specifically requested by the station.

If the other system isn't working for you, try the blog post on how to set up an end to end Pro Res setup that was linked before and is here [blogs.adobe.com]

I used this in CS6 and it worked fine.

They have simply asked for an HD .mov file. The is for an E! Entertainment thing so I am once removed from end user.
Just battling my unfamiliarity with CS6 and Exporting. A tad frustrating. Thanks for the help.

Jude - this is a great article. Once I finish my latest try at an export I will employ this. Thank you.
