G5 vs Cinewave

Coming from the Avid world MC 7.2 on MAC OS 8.6. with Sony's Beta SX
machines. We spend a large part of the day rendering many layers of
Quicktime mattes & fills.

Has anyone tested the G5 with the Cin?Wave card or any other
cards vs a G5 with out one, to see how many streams you do get in
real-time?

Would this card inhance the G5 performance? or not needed for the G5?

Cin?Wave states: it now equips your CPU to process up to seven
uncompressed SD streams in real-time with video out using
AppleÕs RT Extreme. No matter what your CPU
