exporting clip from nested sequence to Motion

I am working in a nested sequence. I want to send a portion of the sequence to Motion. I cut the section to send, marked in and outpoint on the timeline, control clicked the clip and exported to Motion. The correct time length in Motion was correct but the clip is from the beginning of the sequence rather then the clip that I wanted sent. Is it possible to send just a portion of a nested sequence to Motion?

I believe you can open up that nest and choose from within the nest, what to send.

I'm just learning Motion but this I know about nests-- don't cut into them!

Each time you slice into a nest (sounds like you've done two slices to extract the "middle"winking smiley you duplicate the contents and use up more memory. And copying just this sliced section merely copies all contents from the second of three identical containers. I call it the SAS-- Sorcerer's Apprentice Syndrome. Avoid it by doing what John suggests-- step into your nest, highlight and copy the clips you need.
