I checked to make sure sequence settings match photo. I think the problem could be solved in photo shop. i need to adjust the pixel aspect. is there a workaround using only FCP since i do not have photoshop?by LoriGlasgow - Café LA distorted photos when exporting from FCP - 11 years agoI have FCP 6 and when i export still images using quicktime conversion in JPEG format, the image is distorted. the head is elongated. I am exporting from a timeline that is 23.98, apple pro res compressor with HD video. do you have any suggestions for different settings I can use to export the same quality that I see on the timeline in FCP? thank youby LoriGlasgow - Café LA Re: fundamental question re: media manager - 12 years agoYAY. you have no idea how timely and appreciated your reply is. thank you so muchby LoriGlasgow - Café LA fundamental question re: media manager - 12 years agoI am double checking my understanding of media manager. If I copy a sequence using media manager deleting unused media to an external hard drive, will media manager delete all unused media from my source file? In other words, will making a copy using delete unused media mean that all unused media will be deleted from my capture scratch disc?by LoriGlasgow - Café LA Re: FCP 6 takes too long to export quicktime - 12 years agoin conclusion, i followed all your advice and the QT reference file exported in about 90 seconds as opposed to 7 hours. My project is divided into 4 acts which makes changes so much simpler. I am using DVD studio pro to burn a reference copy DVD for the person who will do the audio sweetening for the movie. Thank you all.by LoriGlasgow - Café LA Re: FCP 6 takes too long to export quicktime - 12 years agoagain, more great advice. i wish i had know of this forum 2 years ago. i mostly use creative cow, but this is much more practical and applicable to my project. again, thank you so much. i will post after my next QT export with updateby LoriGlasgow - Café LA Re: FCP 6 takes too long to export quicktime - 12 years agoexcellent advice from everyone. i do not have unlimited RT set in my timeline because when I was editing, the playback kept dropping frames. I never went back to change it for the export. thank you allby LoriGlasgow - Café LA Re: FCP 6 takes too long to export quicktime - 12 years agomy time line is fully rendered. only green and blue is at the top. do you have another suggestion. it is very puzzlingby LoriGlasgow - Café LA Re: Quicktime Reference file question - 12 years agoHow do you convert XDCAM? what do you convert it to? doesn't the sequence setting convert all capture settings to whatever the sequence setting is when you render the sequence before exporting the QT reference file?by LoriGlasgow - Café LA FCP 6 takes too long to export quicktime - 12 years agoWhen I export my FCP timeline, video only to quicktime it takes 8 hours. the project is a 90 minute feature that uses XDCAM HD, DVC Pro HD and HDV footage. The sequence compressor is Pro Res HQ. I leave the make movie self-contained box unchecked and every time I have exported the movie as a reference file, it takes longer and longer. When i exported 2 months ago, it took 6 hours. We made edby LoriGlasgow - Café LA Re: compressor unable to submit queue to compressor - 12 years agoOK so i used digital rebellion to uninstall and reinstall compressor and qmaster. It worked!! thank you very muchby LoriGlasgow - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion Re: compressor unable to submit queue to compressor - 12 years agoHas anyone ever used digital rebellion compression repair? If so, would you please tell me your experience with it. thank youby LoriGlasgow - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion Re: compressor unable to submit queue to compressor - 12 years agoI've actually visited the website you referenced above. I was hesitant to download anything given how far along we are on the project. Is there any chance the compressor repair might cause additional problems?by LoriGlasgow - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion Re: compressor unable to submit queue to compressor - 12 years agoAlso, I have all the updates. I made sure that the name of my computer is listed in sharing in qmaster. please help me get compressor to work. it worked fine before i installed leopard.by LoriGlasgow - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion compressor unable to submit queue to compressor - 12 years agoI upgraded to Leopard OS 10.5.8 and have not been able to export to compressor since. I have been to already. I have deleted preferences. I have done everything suggested at the above website except uninstall and reinstall compressor. I am hesitant to do that because we are nearly complete on a big project and I don't want any unintended consequences of uninstall/reinstall to damage any parby LoriGlasgow - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion |
