Click HERE to register now Final cut pro saving - 18 years agoIts wierd I am editing a feature documentary on a Dual 1 grz. powermac and sometimes I run into the problem of saving my project in FCP. I am usiin FCP 4.5 and whenI try to save it. I get message saying error cannot save to unknown volume and it also does it on autosave. When i start the computer over and start over finally saved, but I lost 2 1/2 hours of work. Do you have any suggestionsby Role - Café LA Final cut 5 HD capturing - 18 years agoHow do I capture HDR-FX1 footage on Final cut pro 5. What are my capture settings and sequence settings. I shot the footage in 1080i mode and I am finnishing on Beta SP as a master. Also I have a music video that is shot in two different formats. One format is HDR-FX1 shot at 1080i and the other is the SDX 900 which we shot DVPRO 50 at 24p. The resolution is video 720:480 but the DVCPRO 50 cby Role - Café LA final cut 1080i hd capturing - 18 years agoHello everyone, I just shot a music video on the new Sony HTV FX1 and I shot at 1080i HD on the hd mini dv tapes... My question is that can these tapes be captured and played back on a regular standard mini dv camera or does it have to play in a HD mini dv deck only for HD mini dv tapes that support 1080i resolution instead of standard video 720/480.by Role - Café LA image quality - 18 years agoI shot a music video on a Panasonic SDX900 I shot it at DVCPRO50 24PA widescreen and then captured the video at DV50 NTSC 29.9997. The footage that I captured looks great, but when I start editing in final cut pro and have layers over images. The image starts getting these white lines around the images I notice it most in shots with a lot of movement and shots that are slowed down. Is it becauby Role - Café LA 24pA - 18 years agoI fot one last question If I shot 24PA and I Am eventually going to tranfer it film and blow it up. I should capture at at the Advanced pull down and when I Edit I should use the sequence setting dv NTSC 24fps. This is what I did, but my problem is that when I take my clips and pull them into my timeline which is set to 24fps I have to render every clip. Do I have the wrong sequence setting shby Role - Café LA Re: 24p - 18 years agoIf I want to capture 24p or 24p advanced footage in final cut HD what should I choose as my capture settings in Audio/video settings? The computer has 768 ram. The external drive has 280 gigs available out of a 300 gig drive. The external drive I found is formated at MS dos,but I am using a mac computer. I am working in final cut 4.5 HD and I used batch capture thankks roleby Role - Café LA Capturing sound issues - 18 years agoWe just bought A G3 powerbook pismo and upgraded it into a G4 powerbook. We want to use this a primary digitizing station. When I capture Media I am capturing media to an External hardive and it seems to moving pretty slow, but it captures. Then when I play the media back the sound is there usually in the begining of each clip, but then falls off and all we hear is a extremely loud static noby Role - Café LA final cut pro relinking - 18 years agoWhere r editing as feature documentary and One of our editing systems is Editing Acts 1, 2 and the other editor on another system is editing act three. We have duplicated the media on seperate hardives so that we can have two editors Edit at the same time. My question is will we run into any problems after After Editor 1 is done with Acts 1,2 and Editor 2 is done with Act 3 and we want to combiby Role - Café LA FCP - 18 years agoI just installed final cut pro 4.5 hd on my powermac and when I tried to run program after installation. It says Configuration error "This software requires certain software or hardware which is missing. It says I need a AGP graphics card. What is this card? What do I need to do so that we can share media and work on the same final cut pro project?by Role - Café LA Mini DV deck recording - 18 years agoHello, I am trying to copy a mini dv tape onto another mini-dv tape and I am using my 1 chip dv camera that is connected too a mini dv deck. The problem I am having is that the sound from the origianl mini-dv tape is fine but when I recorded onto the other mini-dv tape the sound keeps dropping in and out... Does anyone know what the problem could be.
