I guess the other main question is do I shoot 24 frame or increase that to 60 as Jeff suggested? I don't need a filmic feel at all, and if 60 will give me a more "real" feel, that may be the way to go. I've only shot 24 frame when I've done progressive, so I guess I'm just looking for your thoughts on this question, too.by clay - Café LA 24p for medical procedure web video? - 15 years agoI'm going to be shooting several medical procedures over the next month that will be turned into web videos. They'll include a talking head to intro the procedures, along with several minutes worth of actual procedure video. Camera will likely be locked down, and procedure won't (or shouldn't!) include any fast motion. I'll be shooting with an hvx-200. Certainly a similar thing could be accomplished much more cheaply by getting an IP camera that can record at intervals and save a jpeg to a LAN-connected computer. You could then lay those into a timeline and get the desired effect. good luckby clay - Café LA Re: Best place to upload a director's reel online? - 15 years agoExactly right, Joey. It all depends on your target audience. With one of our biggest clients, they're 100% Windows-based, and are in a very locked-down corporate environment. We can't expect them to have any variant of Quicktime installed, but they do have Flash. So it's definitely a trade-off.by clay - Café LA Re: Best place to upload a director's reel online? - 15 years agografixjoe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yeah...I am not on board with anything > FLASH-based. It appears that you have confirmed what I suspected--using the hdlink relegates the connected monitor to a video monitor only--no chance of using it as a computer monitor simultaneously.
