Re: an interesting re-linking issue - 16 years agoHi there, having an identical problem here. Any joy on it?by maggie kudelka - Café LA Media Managing with Color? - 16 years agoI have a 9 minute FCP project, graded with Color. I want to copy the project to a 300GB hard drive. The project folder is over a terrabyte, so I want to Media Manage the FCP project. Does anyone know if media managing will capture the Color render files as well? Are there any issues to consider in advance? Thanks in advanceby maggie kudelka - Color Re: Removing Color grades from clips in FCP - URGENT - 16 years agoThanks Jude, I appreciate it. Miraculously, all is OK now - I rectified some distortion issues to the FCP project (shots gone out of size, turned upside down etc), and the missing grades suddenly appeared on clips!by maggie kudelka - Color Re: Removing Color grades from clips in FCP - URGENT - 16 years agoHi Jude, thanks again for your response. We sent an FCP project to Color, graded all shots, and sent it back to FCP. We then made changes to the edit, inserting ungraded shots into the graded film. I realise now we should have made changes to the ungraded version and sent the whole ungraded film to Color, but were trying to find a short cut (famous last words!) so we didn't have to applyby maggie kudelka - Color Re: Removing Color grades from clips in FCP - URGENT - 16 years agoThanks for your response Jude - I've tried doing what you suggested and while it removes the other FCP originated filters, it seems to keep the grade on the clip... are there any other ways I could try? Thanks, Maggieby maggie kudelka - Color Removing Color grades from clips in FCP - URGENT - 16 years agoHi I have a graded FCP project that has ungraded clips mixed in with graded clips. Just wondered if there's a way to remove a grade from an individual clip, so I can send the whole ungraded project to Color? Thanks so much Maggieby maggie kudelka - Color Footage upside down - render - RT settings? - 16 years agoI'm cutting on FCP6, footage shot on a Panasonic hvx202. Apparently because of the camera adaptor (with no flip module), the footage comes into FCP upside down. I put a Rotate filter on the clips to turn them up the right way, but I need to render every time I do a cut. Does anyone know a way around all this rendering during the edit? What should my RT settings be? Cheers Maggieby maggie kudelka - Café LA Re: Green Screen for chroma keying +heat haze filter - 16 years agoThanks Jude and Peter, both your responses have really helped me. Cheers Maggieby maggie kudelka - Café LA Green Screen for chroma keying +heat haze filter - 16 years agoI am chroma keying a scene of a boy levitating off the beach. I use Final Cut Studio 2 (FCP 6), and for chroma keying I'm using the Colour Smoother filter and Chroma Key Filter. We are planning on shooting the actor against a green screen outdoors to match the light of the beach as much as possible. The DOP has asked me what shade of green I would like to use. Can anyone give me advby maggie kudelka - Café LA |
