8:00PM - 8:30PM- Getting Work in the Entertainment Industry. (Networking doesn’t have to suck.) - Zack Arnold
In his presentation Zack will share with you the simple strategies he has used to go from zero connections in the entertainment industry to building relationships with countless A-list industry experts across various formats, departments, and genres...without having to sell his soul! (And having been an extreme introvert his entire career)
Networking doesn’t have to be about going to random events, panels, and industry mixers where you have to sell yourself, constantly give your “elevator pitch,” and have the same banal conversations with the same people who are just as desperate for work as you are. Networking can be a rewarding & enriching experience that provides value to others, leads to mentorship, shadowing opportunities, and even being referred for your dream job!

About Zack Arnold
Zack Arnold is an award-winning Hollywood editor & producer (notable credits include Cobra Kai, Empire, Burn Notice, and Glee), a documentary director (GO FAR: The Christopher Rush Story), a career coach, a two-time American Ninja Warrior, and the creator of the Optimize Yourself program & podcast. Zack strongly believes that it’s possible for all creative professionals to love what they do for a living...but not at the expense of their health, their relationships, or their sanity.
Zack has spoken across the country at numerous events and conventions about optimizing creativity and work-life balance as well as the craft of editing.

8:30- 8:55PM - Break
This is the most important part of the show. It's networking time. Take what you learned from Zack and put it into practice. This is a great opportunity to not only ask questions and get problems solved, but to meet people that just migh
t change your life. There will hopefully be water and that's about it.

Metro Red Line
Yes, Los Angeles has a subway and if possible you ought to use it. Riders are dropped of at Sunset and Vermont and then it is a walk of several blocks and uphill to get to the Theatre. The Park has a gated stairway ending at Barnsdall Ave, just behind the strip mall. It's the only access point from this side, but it is often locked. There is long, tree-shaded stairway leading from Hollywood Blvd to the Gallery Theatre and this area is sometimes shared with a homeless population. The best route for people who use mobility devices is the sidewalk along the Barnsdall Park road access. More info on the Red Line can be found here.

PARKING: Parking is FREE. There is ample parking on top of hill near the Art Park. Parking extends around the perimeter of the Park. NOTE: Please park your car diagonally even though the spaces are not marked that way.
