Agenda (subject to change and availability)
6:45- 7:15PM - Stump the Gurus
Join Gurus Patrick Southern, Misha Tenenbaum, Michael Kammes and Philip Hodgetts as they will attempt to answer all of your questions and solve all of your problems concerning FCS and FCPX, Avid, Premiere Pro and anything else you can think of. If they can't solve your problem or answer your question, then you go home with a problem, but you still got out of the house, so that's not a bad thing.
7:20PM - 7:30PM - Announcements
This is your time, assuming we have time. New to LA? Say Hello. Got a movie you want people to see? Tell us about it. Looking for a job? Tell us. Offering a job? Tell us.
7:30PM - 7:45PM - FindrCat Pro: Media Asset Management so simple, you’ll probably use it - Philip Hodgetts.
Take the keyword ranges from FCP X and inject the metadata into Finder Tags, as well as into the file itself. Use Finder Tags to search across drives to find media in the Finder, then drag back to FCP X where Finder Tags become Keywords again.
Upgrade to FindrCat Pro (in app) and drag your Finder selects to FindrCat Pro and all the metadata from the original Clips is returned to the Event.
Your valuable metadata travels with the file. If the file is there, the metadata is there. Simple asset management and security in one package.

About Richard Sanchez
Richard discovered editing on a whim while studying theatre at UC Irvine. Combining his love for storytelling and technology made post production a clear path that he’s been pursuing ever since.
Starting out shooting and editing videos for GoTV, one of the earliest providers of mobile video, he worked his way into television starting in unscripted. Unscripted proved a valuable training grounds to work on his assistant editing skills before transitioning into scripted television and features.
From UFO Hunters to The Good Place to Naked, Richard has seen many different shows with may different workflows and is excited to share his experience with you. There’s always something new to learn and processes to refine, but this course stands as a solid foundation to prepare yourself for working in features.
