Problem: When edit 16:9 have to render everytime put clip in timeline.Posted by Robert
Hello Everyone,
thanks in advance to anyone reading this and especially if you have any advice. I shot in miniDV PAL on a Sony Z1 with the camera set to 16:9. Then I captured the footage and it just came in as 16:9 without my having adjusted anything on FCP HD 4.5. Now I have started editing. When I place a clip on the timeline it has to be rendered!!! This is driving me crazy as I constantly have to render for each little edit adjustment I make!! How can I avoid this???? Thanks everyone!! Robert EQUIPMENT Camera Sony Z1 set to miniDV, PAL, 16:9. powerbook G4, 15". OS X 10.4.9 FCP HD 4.5 Media stored on external LaCie d2 firewire drive.
in the Easy Setup menu there is a small checkbox labelled "Show All" ... if you check that you'll see many more setups including the DV PAL Anamorphic one ... but fair play to you Robert, the only difference between a DV PAL Anamorphic sequence and the normal DV PAL sequence is the extra tick in that Anamorphic checkbox in the sequence settings. kudos for looking it (and finding it) yourself!
