We are doing some long audio recording sessions and we are looking for a
format for audio only and I wish to seek advice. First we recorded to CD but the client complained about the CD changeover breaks every 72 minutes. Today we used a blackburst generator, a DVDCAM recorder and a 184 tape. The disadvantage is that I have to sit and grab to audacity; when before with a CD I would rip the audio data off my drive. Now, I was wondering if I used a blackburst generator and a DVD recorder set to EP mode, if the audio is still recorded at 44.1 or 48k even though the video (which we are not digitizing) and the bit rate is still good. Does any one know, I googled audio quality DVD EP but got no useful hits! Thanks
I should have mentioned this is a remote record,
so bringing a PC is not an easy option. tc Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You could record directly to Audacity or Pro > Tools, or any other DAW format. with sufficient > hard drive space and a stable system you can > record for hours, even days at a time at full > resolution.
