seeing canvas or viewer but not both

Recently I have discovered that if I drag my canvas or my viewer too far, it will disappear off the screen. It will come back when I select it in the Window menu, but the viewer and the canvas won't appear together.
I have had to quit FCP and relaunch it to solve this.
Anybody know what this is?

Have you tried a restart?

Do you have Spaces active?

I came across this once and I think it had something to do with Spaces. I believe my solution was to clear and then reassign FCP to one of the spaces.

Did you already try CONTROL-U to restore the default window arrangement?

Control-U does it. Thank you, Derek. I think you are right, Andrew. It has something to do with spaces. Maybe I better learn something about spaces, which I do not use.
