Click HERE to register now Settings For Full Screen 16:9 SD Playback - 13 years agoI shot and edited a 1920x1080P HD video, exporting a QuickTime movie from Final Cut Pro 7 with the same settings. I have DVD Studio Pro 4 and I want to burn an SD DVD that will fill an entire 16:9 tv screen when played back on a standard consumer DVD player. I'm not sure about the DVDSP project settings to accomplish this. Any ideas or help? Jeffby clvsjeff - DVD Studio Pro Safe To Use Snow Leopard With FCS3 Yet? - 14 years agoSnow Leopard has been available for a while now, but I've held off installing it because of the many horror stories I've heard and read about problems running Final Cut Studio and other third party apps with it. I've recently upgraded to Final Cut Studio 3, but before I buy Snow Leopard, I wanted to get a sense of whether or not the major issues have been resolved. Is it safe to go ahead and uby clvsjeff - Café LA Re: HDV Aspect Ratio Problem - 16 years agoI think you're right. This is my 4th project on this computer, but it's shared. Someone else may have changed the capture setting. When capturing, I've been digitizing the footage directly from the HDV camcorder using the "capture now" setting WITH device control ('vtr ok'), so there IS timecode. Do you have any tips about recapturing original footage? I've never dumped footage froby clvsjeff - Café LA Re: HDV Aspect Ratio Problem - 16 years agoShould I do this through the Media Manager? That said, by your reply (thanks, by the way) is there no way to fix this with the media I already have?by clvsjeff - Café LA HDV Aspect Ratio Problem - 16 years agoI've started cutting a show from 8 original tapes shot with 2 Sony HDV camcorders that were digitized using "Capture Now" WITH device control. Out of those captured tapes I created many subclips and bins to organize the material and I've already made one rough cut timeline sequence and I'm about halfway through another. My project setting is set for "NTSC DV Anamorphic" buby clvsjeff - Café LA Apple Certified Final Cut Pro Available - 16 years agoI'm a 6 year Apple Certified Final Cut Pro currently using the programs bundled with Final Cut Studio 2 and I'm available for any editing or assistant editing project or position. I have a MacBook Pro based system that enables me to work at any location if necessary. Below is a link to my website, which has a short editing demo on the second page, titled,"Work Sample." Each individual clip had good audio sync. About halfway through the sequence, when changing angles in the timeline, I noticed that one particular angle started to lose sync while the other ones were fine. What could've caused it? How do I fix it? I tried the "slip into sync" function bby clvsjeff - Café LA Sending FCP QuickTime Movies To A Windows User - 17 years agoHi, I'm cutting short videos for a website in FCP 5.1, and I need to send them to the web designer for conversion to Flash, but he has a PC and we've had trouble with the file format. He has QuickTime for Windows on his PC, but even though I added the .mov suffix on the file name and made sure there were no spaces in the title, he was having trouble. First of all, there's the matter of web video codecs and compression. Any suggestions on choosing a codec or codecs that can reach ALL computer users? Second, I have Sorenson Sqeeze 4 and Compression Master 3, and I'm experimenting with both and I wasby clvsjeff - Café LA Best CrossPlatform Web Video Codecs? - 18 years agoHi, I'm producing a series of 15-20 minute downloadable video programs to be posted on a website that's being created. They'll be shot in DV, and I'll be using Final Cut 5 and Motion for postproduction. Subscribers will pay to download the videos, but I'm confused about which way to compress the content for web delivery. I have plenty of compression tools, (QuickTime Pro, Compressor, Sorensonby clvsjeff - Café LA |
