SD DVD varying quality on different screens - 14 years agoHi, I made an SD DVD of all of my projects. For simplicity's sake, and to save time, I did it in iDVD7 on Professional Quality, putting all original Quicktime Exports into it (Among these was a project shot on HDV, XDCAM, DVCAM.) I also did tests in DVD Studio Pro. The project plays and looks great on my 23" Apple Cinema Display and my Samsung 1080i flatscreen with OPPO Blueray playerby marcel37 - DVD Studio Pro Re: YouTube Quality Bump - 16 years agoCan anyone tell me what apps were used to achieve this? I use FCP 5.1 Compressor, and the rest. Any advice would help. Thanks, Mby marcel37 - Café LA Re: Picture looks soft after widescreen effect (Please help) - 17 years agoHi Kevin, The RT POP UP menu: RT Safe (checked) Pleayer Base Layer Only Playback video quality (High checked) Record to Tape (Full Quality checked) If it helps, this is problem I am experiencing with color corrected clips. Could this be a bug specific to FCP 4.5 - HD?by marcel37 - Café LA Re: Picture looks soft after widescreen effect (Please help) - 17 years agoHey Derek, Thanks for the advice. I watched the footage on a broadcast moitor and some of the color corrected, wide screen matte and offset images still look soft. The same for QT output. I tired cropping the image also and then readjusting it on screen, but it is also soft. Any further advice? After I do it and adjust the offset , the picture seems blurry, unclear, and not as sharp as it was. It this something experienced during playback in the timeline or will this negative effect stay on the footagby marcel37 - Café LA Re: editing 24p on FCP 3 - 17 years agoShane, Brilliant link.
