Re: FCP sequence to iMovie- Best Practice? - 14 years agoThank you! I didnt see exact practices though for FCP to iMovie, I have been trying fcp sequence to export QT, but it sometimes only gets part of the video, then I added in and outs and highlighted all it also doesnt show my chapter markers, it only shows one after its in iMOvie. not sure what I am doing wrong. Do I have to highlight the sequence or no? Thanks a ton! I appreciate your iMoviby jenvery - Café LA Re: CineGear - 14 years agoThanks! I did see that, just hoping for free! Thanks anyway!by jenvery - Café LA CineGear - 14 years agoHI! Do you guys have any free passes to CineGear available? My son wants to join his Dad there tomorrow. Thank you for any info! Jenniferby jenvery - Café LA Re: FCP sequence to iMovie- Best Practice? - 15 years agothank you so much! Will this type of export work to iMovie? Also, in fcp how do I mix footage with two diff frame rates? One is 23 .97 and other one 29.97? Do I have to convert one? And once I go to idvd does it go to 29.97 anyway? Thank u!!!by jenvery - Café LA Re: soundtrack question- separate voices from music - 15 years agoHI Thanks! I figured it would be pretty hard. They should have set it so the mic input would be separate from the music input, oh well. Also, I was using Soundtrack but I forgot how to get the changes in Soundtrack made to show up in FCP? How dod you roundtrip? Thank you! Jenby jenvery - Café LA soundtrack question- separate voices from music - 15 years agoHi, if my sequence has audio that was received directly from the amplifier to the camera. It was a school play. The audio is mixed with kids voices on mircophones and the music playing, and the kids are hard to hear. If the music and voice are mixed together is it possible to raise the kids voices at all separate from the music, using soundtrack or other programs? Thank you! Jenby jenvery - Café LA Re: FCP sequence to iMovie- Best Practice? - 15 years agoHow about this question- what compressor settings should I use to export my FCP sequence to iDVD? thank you!by jenvery - Café LA Re: FCP sequence to iMovie- Best Practice? - 15 years agoI want to be able to use the easy titles in iMovie, I know i should learn motion but dont have enough time today! Also, its so easy to share in iMovie with YouTube, Facebook, MObileMe, email, and to iDVD, just curious if i could do the video and sound editing in FCP and then finish up in iMovie and iDVD for speed and ease of use. Any ideas? Thank you so much! Jenniferby jenvery - Café LA FCP sequence to iMovie- Best Practice? - 15 years agoHI! I have a FCP sequence with 1280x720 HDTV 720p (16:9) Compressor Settings (under sequence settings) says XDCam EX 720p24 35mb/s vbr Wanted to edit in FCP then put into iMovie, what are the best settings I should use for the export? Thank you so much! Jenniferby jenvery - Café LA Re: Canon 5D Mark 11 footage - 15 years agoThank you! Now how should I transcode the clips? No one said specifically. Should I use mpeg streamclip or something else. Also what codec should I transcode them to? Apple published some great white papers on importing RED footage and how to import Panasonic P2, that I follow carefully. Have they done that yet with this camera? Thank you so much! Jenniferby jenvery - Café LA Re: Canon 5D Mark 11 footage - 15 years agoThank you so much for your thoughtful reply! I should have mentioned that the clips play beautifully with Quicktime player, so its not a camera shake problem. I just meant the computer seemed to not be able to handle the footage? I wondered if I should use certain sequence settings or other user settings to help the computer be able to process it? Thank you for any additional help! jenby jenvery - Café LA Re: Canon 5D Mark 11 footage - 15 years agoI can actually just import the files directly since they are .mov files, and when I put them in a sequence it changes the settings to match the clip. But when I play it its shaky and yucky looking. What FCP settings should I use to have it look better? I have FCP Studio 2, G5 Tower, etc. Let me know! And should I convert the clips first as you were discussing?by jenvery - Café LA Canon 5D Mark 11 footage - 15 years agoCan anyone suggest the settings and how to import footage from the 5D mark 11 Thanksby jenvery - Café LA Re: muxer bitrate too high - 15 years agoany ideas, I researched apple docs about it and it said something about the preset being higher that something, but I am not sure what preset they mean? From mpeg streamclip? I used remux to m2v and aiff, but it didnt give any options there. I only see options under preferences. Please let me know any ideas so I can finally burn this DVD I created! Thanks! Jenniferby jenvery - DVD Studio Pro Re: muxer bitrate too high - 15 years agoalso do you think its the encode bitrate in mpegstreamclip thats causing it when I demux, or do you think its something in DVDsp?by jenvery - DVD Studio Pro muxer bitrate too high - 15 years agoany ideas on the error: Compiler Muxer Bitrate too high is this an encode preferences problem or something else? trying to burn now, please help! Jenniferby jenvery - DVD Studio Pro Re: dvd choppy video - 15 years agoHI again, I did the remux and went to dvdsp and made a menu, now I am trying to build and it says Compiler Muxer BItrate too high I have tried reduced the bitrate under dvdsp preferences. Do I open the DVD and then what? Sorry to be idiotic but it would be so great if you gave me step by step instructions! thank you so so much!by jenvery - Café LA blu-ray authoring with CS4 Encore - 15 years agoHI! I was wondering if anyone has tried this yet burning a blu-ray disc with FCP and CS4? Also, what did you use to physically burn the blu-ray disc? Also, will FCPStudio be coming out with their own version of blu-ray authoring as well? Thank you! jenniferby jenvery - Café LA Re: dvd choppy video - 15 years agothank you, I probably should have had them transfer it to something else, they suggested digibeta but I dont have a deck for that. To get the video off the DVD first I used mpeg streamclip and used apple uncompressed codec I think it was. Since that was bad then I tried playing the DVD through my deck and using log and capture into FCP, it looks fine while playing on FCP. From there I exportedby jenvery - Café LA dvd choppy video - 15 years agoHI all! I just transferred a 3/4" tape to DVD at Fotokem. The footage from their DVD looks good and smooth. When I imported it into FCP and then exported it to iDVD and burned it, it looks choppy now where lights and darks come together. I am also trying DVDSP but havent burned yet because the menus on that one arent quite as easy as iDVD. Jenby jenvery - Café LA Re: mpeg into FCP audio missing - 15 years agoThank you! That saved my life! Also it seems like an awesome program for converting files. I also got video files right off the DVDs which was great because my deck remote stopped working and I couldnt get log and capture to work without a certain setting. You saved me! Thanks again so much this forum is the best! Jenby jenvery - Café LA mpeg into FCP audio missing - 15 years agoHI! I received a video on a DVD that is an mpeg. Luckily my sequence ended up being 3 hours, I always forget how it starts at 1 hour. I think you can change that in the preferences somehow to start at 0 on the timelone, that would help me!
