Danby DanielRaim - Café LA Projecting Quicktime Movie from MacBook Pro - 14 years agoI'm screening my movie for an audience of 60 tomorrow, and wondering about the quality of projecting a 720x480/24p Pro Res 422 anamorphic Quicktime movie directly from a MacBook Pro DVI output. I assume I have to play the Quicktime movie "Full Screen", and I'm already aware of making sure "high quality" is checked. Here are my questions: 1) Is it better to have theby DanielRaim - Café LA OT: Do You Have An Extra "SuperMeet" Ticket? - 17 years agoIf anyone has an extra ticket I would love to purchase it from you! What machine would you suggest for capturing a standard VHS tape for best results (it's archive interview footage I need to restore for 35 mm blow up)? I find it very helpful when my Mac gets sluggish. My wife and I decided to edit our wedding movie together! Wedding was shot primarily (90%) on two DVX-100A cameras (set at 24pA, 4:3) and a third camera, the Canon XH-A1, was used for the ceremony (set at 24f 1080i 16:9). We have about 15 hours of miniDv and another 15 hours of Digibeta footage that has been stored for about 6 years! A total of 30 hours of footage. I downloaded the codec "AvidCodecsLE.pkg" and installed the package. Unfortunately, the new Codec did not appear when I went to Export - Quick Time Movie. What am I doing wrong? Export Quicktime Movie for Avid - 17 years agoI have a FCP 5.1 PAL DV project that I need to export for Avid Nitrous. The post facility only has Avid and they are going to output the project from the Avid to Hi-Def. What is the optimal QT format (or any other format for that matter) to output from FCP for the Avid Nitrous? They have no PAL DV or DigiBeta decks so the facility requested I bring the file on an external FW drive.by DanielRaim - Café LA Re: Need assistance with Canvas Window Issue - 17 years agoThanks, John! Best, Danby DanielRaim - Café LA Need assistance with Canvas Window Issue - 17 years agoA strange *new* occurrence for me...when I color correct I can see the changes in the VIEWER WINDOW (that's good) and when I hit the space bar and PLAY the timeline the CANVAS WINDOW does not reflect the changes. As an aside: when I un-checkmark and re-check mark "Click Enable" the changes are reflected in the CANVAS WINDOW. What is going on here? Danielby DanielRaim - Café LA Need assistance uprezing DV footage - 17 years agoWhat are my options for uprezing DV footage? Some of the DV footage was digitized from VHS tapes, so I'm performing a super delicate operation. I may need to blow up to aprx. 130% and it?s obvious to me that Final Cut does not handle the pixel enlargement well. I think. Has Nattress developed anything?
