Re: fix the Autosave function on FCPX - 13 years agoThats a periodical autosave function - not what Apple are proposing in Lion at all. In Lion everything will be saved right up to the moment of quitting or crashing regardless. Hopefully this function will be on the Snow Leopard version of FCPX too. For many years Adobe After Effects has done a very good job of saving if a crash happens. One handle is for "position and angle" and the other is "acceleration/deceleration". Damn Nvidia! Something you should do more often if you find you are getting sticky balls. You edit you entire programme as 1920x1080 HD at 25fps 2. You export your Master movie as 1920x1080 HD at 25fps 3. Then you have several options: A. Import your master movie export back into FCP and setup a 4:3 720x576 FCP timeline and drop the master onto it. Make sure you don't automatically change the sequence settings and you should find that your master will be scaled to to a leby Ben King - Café LA Re: Compressing Files - 13 years agoJust saying that something is CBR or Constant Bit Rate doesn't actually mean it will affect the quality. It is the lowering of the data rate that affects the quality. VBR or Variable Bit Rate allows a range of data rates so to save on areas that don't require much data and more for areas that do.
