All of this because someone has decided not to his or her job... professionally. I work with several editing softwares, Avid, Quantel for years... and this the first time that i've seen a PRO software been realease with out the manual. Progressive, like your computer display, starts to be drawned like a printed document from top to bottom. The way that your sheet of paper cames out of the printer. That was needed with Linear Editing and some old Non-Linear-Editors. Perform Assemble Edits, that way you do need to rewind and Re-Record again, also it reduces the risk of Drop-Outs phisically on the tapeby Rui Barros - Café LA

Do need to perform Insert Editing for a special reason? Black the tape for about 10", that's enough for the Pre-Roll, and them perform an Assemble Edit Mode. Example: Set you Deck to 09:57:50:00 with a black input and record about 13 seconds In your FCP set your timeline to start at 09:58:00:00 with Bars and Tone during 1:30:00 and the rest of elements ending at 09:59:57:00. If you drop the price more people will buy it. The App looks very good but keep in mind it only serves a fraction of the iphone users, us, who work on the business. It's funny and it will call people atention. I share with Derek's point of view. It can be annoing after some time and people will look the other way. Sound is very important and that background noise is easy to be removed with Soundtrack Pro. "That includes the concept, the font, sound and all......It doesn't mean it's amateur" You know it but it looks like that some worby Rui Barros - Show and Tell

A couple of years ago i had a situation that a guy i've made a video for a real estate did want to pay me after 90 days of the conclusion. Also someone later tould me that this gentleman was not give my trust on him. He was skipping payments to a lot of people. Sorry about your tapes, but insted buying a new desk, get something to close the tapes inside, like a small vault and put it in a temperature and moisture controlled place away from any magnetic fileds. The money spended and your work are inside a little tape. So each tape holds sometimes a lot of $$$$$$by Rui Barros - Café LA

Hi, I've been doing that since some time ago, but only with Mac Pro's with enough power to handle bouth tasks , Render in the 1º FCP and, Cutting only in 2º FCP with no problems at all. By going to the FCP icon in the Apps Folder, Control-Click the icon and select "Show Package Contents> Contents Folder> MacOS Folder> Final Cut Pro Click the Unix icon and voila a 2 FCP wiby Rui Barros - Café LA
