Since 2000 that i've been working with Quantel systems, NewsBox, EditBox and later the eQ. Perhap's the biggest upgrade from the old systems to the eQ is the "Undo" function. Hi, A video engineer will handle with all the aspects of the configuration. At the old facilities, they have people working in engineering and maintenance of the systems. Again, our market is very small and that means sometimes buying a product without a true knowledge how well it works. Hello Forum, A Post House wants to build a brand new facilities, all Mac and FCS based. They have a lot of work in several issues, most in Broadcast, so sharing projects and media is very important. The facilities will have 4 Edit Suites plus a Machine Room with all the VTR's HD, SD, DV, etc... Can you, please, help in a suggestion for a configuration... Mac's, Servers, etc... What is wrong with Apple anyway, is the iPhone consuming all the resources? The phone is OK, i do enjoy mine but where is Final Cut Server and the Studio Updates? Import the image sequence with Quicktime Player Pro and than export a .mov with the FCP sequence settings. Quicktime: Menu File-Import Image Sequence When opened: Menu File-Exportby Rui Barros - Café LA

Try to make a image of the disk using Disk Utility and than open it from the Finder. I'm not sure but if the Mac's are network connected try to close the connection. Good Luck.by Rui Barros - Café LA

Sorry to point this to another topic, but Wes, does the "Automatic Duck" translates a FCP sequence into the Quantel eQ? The eQ timeline has only one video track, does this means that the FCP sequence must be also single track? Thanksby Rui Barros - Café LA

FCS is more stable than the Avid Solutions. For a number of reasons... There is no point in setting 1 minute period for a Auto-Save, it is not practical and it will probably induce people into error... Depending on the size of each project and the speed of the system it would spend about 5 or 10 or even more seconds in every minute of work. Do the Math.
