fxMover Update - 11 years agoSomebody from the Cow asked whether I could do an update of this application for the "daring minds". So here it is. What the app does: The huge amount of templates which come with Apple’s Final Cut Pro X can be boon and bane. One good thing is that many of those can be modified by the user to match custom needs. The bad thing is that there so many not needed ones and these ones cby Andreas Kiel - Café LA - X FCPX Subtitles - 11 years agoHi all, I decided to stop development for the free subtitle tools XTI and XTE for Final Cut Pro X. To much time needed. They are still available as free tools at their current state. XTI now is fully integrated in TitleExchange - XTE's integration will follow early next year. Integrating XTI into TEP now allows to convert/import nearly 40 subtitle formats into Final Cut Pro X. The Titleby Andreas Kiel - Café LA - X Re: OT - Subtitle App Beta Tester Wanted - 11 years agoJon, Along with TitleExchange there come 2 apps (XTI,XTE) One can be used to import subtitle files (Spruce STL or SRT) into FCPX, the other one to extract subtitles out of a FCPXML and convert them into a Spruce STL. Both apps do come with help PDFs (in the Help menu item). For DVDs with DVD Studio you need the STL, creating a DVD with Encore requires an Encore text script, other authorinby Andreas Kiel - Café LA - X Re: Subtitle workflow for FCPX - 11 years agoI'm the author of TitleExchange. So I may make some comment here. TitleExchange currently don't have any direct support for FCPX. But there is a little app called XTI which comes along with TitleExchange. This app allows to convert either a Spruce STL or a SRT to FCPXML. For details you can have a look at the Help menu of the app. One thing which no developer (except Apple) can change is theby Andreas Kiel - Café LA - X Re: Please help! - 11 years agoJust mask the "new" face and put it over the original and animate the masked clip if needed.by Andreas Kiel - Café LA - X Subtitles again - 11 years agoInspired by Nick few weeks ago I created a simple PDF which describes quite a lot of subtitle formats. This weekend I got a nice one about subtitles with FCPX and my free XTE app in an collaborative environment. The person said my app is not working with big projects and creates an error message and hangs. He was wrong or right - he haven't read the manual which says "Compound Clips with titles are not supported". Assuming that you don't have a million of sequences named "Sequence 1" or so, just enter the name of the sequence in the find panel and let it search for all matching names (of your sequence) in all projects. In the resulting panel view just click the sequence and click the "Show in Browser". Nothing I know of lets you import text into the title tool or export the data from the title tool into another software. I can't locate the text values in the PPro project file or in the FCP 7 XML. It's a nice title tool, but you can't send the information anywhere." Gerard, What you said is both true and false. DSLRs right now don't have TC, but audio in (most times) so you can record LTC to an audio track synched to the audio recorder's TC. Same is valid for some other cameras. When shooting with several cams where some won't have the option to sync TC to the audio HDR it's a big help. Andreasby Andreas Kiel - Café LA Stupip/Funny question about boot drives - 11 years agoFor support reasons I have to have 3 disks (10.6x,10.7x,10.8x) So if I boot from disk 1 it doesn't see the events/projects created on disk 1 when booted from disk 2 or disk 3. Same with any other boot disk - it never sees what have been created by another "system". It's totally clear why - but does it make sense? Yes - at least for the user. It's too deep inside the cams construction. The options are to store user data inside a file or with an additional file. Both options may be good or not.
