Re: Jpeg in FCP HD - 18 years agoKind of the way it is unless you have a NTSC monitor hooked up and are looking at that. What you see in canvas window is not what you get mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: Sound editing program? - 18 years agoGreat posts TC. Thanks much for sharing your expertise Mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: Heads - 18 years agoGenerally they dont just clean the heads they do an alignment too. YOU might try TV Masters in Holywood. I think they are cheaper. Mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: Heads - 18 years agoThats a KOZ question. I was always told never to use those cleaners, wet or dry. Have it professionally done. mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: Sound editing program? - 18 years agoMy only problems with Pro Tools is that it is SO expensive and absolutely no way does it need to be. Which is why many are just throwing up their hands and moving away. For low budget Indy filmmakers, PT just isnt a choice. Mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: Sound editing program? - 18 years agoCheck it out. It ain't that limited.by Michael Horton - Café LA Re: Audio fcp - 18 years agoMusic Mix? You mean a re-mix? Be a bit more specific mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: DVD To DV - 18 years agoDVDxDV is what you want. Most elegant solution out there. YOu can get it in the lafcpug storeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: Sound editing program? - 18 years agoGood question. Would make a good poll if we had that software. Dont dismiss what is right in front of you though. FCP's audio tools are quite good. A step up is Pro Tools LE, Bias Peak or Deck, Logic, MOTU's Digital Performer. All have steep learning curves although MOTU makes more sense to me than any of the others. I'm not an audio guy though. I let others do the mixing and most folks I knowby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: Dvds created on IDVD - 18 years agoThey will play all over the world, except on old DVD players which seem to not like any DVDs, NTSC or PAL mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: Where do you get your dv cameras cleaned/fixed? - 18 years agoI used to take my VX1000 to TV Masters in Hollywood on Melrose. Daniel is the guy there. MUCH cheaper than sending to Sony. Dont know the phone number. mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: Special Effects Advice - 18 years agoThats a good idea but even more fun for the kids is to play with the filters and controls. Have them drop some of them onto the clips and see the effect. Then have them play with the controls. If they dont like what they see, control click on the clip and choose "remove filter" mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: fcp 4.5 project files as email attachment - 18 years agoYep Stuff it or this is often what you get. Havent a clue why mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: Possible Update Problems 10.3.3 to 10.3.8 - 18 years agoUse the combo updater and repair permissions before and after updating. Also run a disk check before you update. Do all that and all should be fine mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: please..for the love of everything good HELP...Xternal HD problems! - 18 years agoYou can just turn Journaling off but it is best to move the media off the drive and reformat it. This is something everyone needs to do when purchasing a new drive. mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: DVCPRO HD anyone? - 18 years agoThere wouldnt be a playout setting in FCP, its in the deck. Just play out and it will record what you tell it to record. Never used the deck but thats my thinking mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA Re: DVCPRO HD anyone? - 18 years agoOnly way via FW (as far as I know) is to the Panasonic 1200A deck which will do 720P and 1080i both. mikeby Michael Horton - Café LA |
