Re: why doesnt FCP see my new fonts? - 16 years agoI your application folder. Also don't install fonts into your system folder install them in your ~user /library/fonts folder loading all those font in the system can slow it down as it has to load them all. I even like creating a new user for just editing with only the fonts I use in that users fonts folder.by Dean - Café LA Re: OT Bait and Switch - 16 years agoPlus you may get a camera that all the menus are in Arabic, No Battery No Cables No Remote etc.by Dean - Café LA Re: Making QT File for Web with Sorenson Squeeze - 16 years agoQuite Frankly if you can encode to H.264 you most likely will be better off. The cost to repair the PB would have been over $700.00 If I had bought AC I could have got it fixed.by Dean - Café LA Re: Online Glossary of Video Terminology - 16 years ago"Glossary of Video Terminology" I often thought that this would be a pretty good theme for a LAFCPUG meeting (or at least a segment) since there are so many new FCP users that attend that don't always understand all the lingo of the industry.by Dean - Café LA Re: OT (sort of): Applause for Koz - 16 years agoI once thought I had "Jock Itch" but then Koz told me I really had 40KHz cycle hum and helped me fix it. Thanks Koz!by Dean - Café LA Re: Best thing I learned at LAFCPUG meeting tonight - 16 years agoBest thing I learned at LAFCPUG meeting Last Night I wish I had control of some of the lights. Going through security they now make you take all camcorders out of the bag yes they think of your camera as a camcorder as well.by Dean - Café LA Re: Training - 17 years agoQuoteAlso some very fine FCP instructors at Video Symphony: Larry Jordan, Christine Steele and myself.
