Fixed resolution and 3d view - 14 years agoIn 2D views. you can set the layer to fixed resolutions such as 720x480. But when you switch to 3D this option is not available! Help! - 15 years agoI have experienced this with a DV timeline IF the clips in question have too high a luminance range. Apple will have to be careful with their pricing as Windows Boxes will be sporting in the near future Octo-Intels, and 12x AMDs (right now this is vaporware, but it is extremely likely) My point is, Apple will have to be careful not to alienate its loyal base with too high a price; otherwise people will be going over to Premeire Pro on Windows. (and I HATE viby mark@avolution - Café LA OT- Quad and or Octo Macs speed vs. old Dual G5s? - 15 years agoCurious as to how much faster the new breed of Intel Macs are at things like exporting QTs off the timeline, and compressor compressing things to mpegs for DVD Studio on the new boxes vs. the old. Does anyone have any idea of the speed differences? It has been my guess as a Dual G5 user that a new Octo Core would likely be MUCH faster???? I think the mandate from above is to have playback from the USB stick; so I guess I'd load 5 minutes of any video on and see if it stutters! Thanks. When doing SD out through the aja Io, I find I get much better quality by "playing the timeline" directly to a decent Panasonic recorder. It is in outputting QT, converting to mpeg2 and audio in compresor (or Sorenson) that the quality of the product takes a hit. Someone with a PC would like this to happen but I have these concerns a) to get over the FAT32 limit with a PC formatted drive, only 4G files would be alowed? b)If the drive was given was Mac format HFS+, they wouldn't be able to read it. I had to load it up as the Huge 1.2G Raid drive had gone offline; so I had to use Disc Warrior to scavenge what I could and load up what i couldn't from the WD drive. I had had 3 such incidents with the Ciprico drive. Always back up critical data! This won't hurt the drive; and will shut it down? Normally, I have been right clicking the drive and pressing eject drive button. But I notice the drive light will stay on in a hybernation mode. And the best I can set the duration is 00;01:05:02! I ask as my Kona 2 has convert to Prores codecs, but my Aja Io has no prores codecs, which leads me to believe that prores is HD only. Here is my scene. Create a camera, and a perspective view. Create any outline shape. Turn on dynamics, local 3D and facing camera. I don't have AI, but I do have programs that generate them... Adobe PS, and 3ds Max. But when I import in Motion the ai is greyed out! Any workaround for a PC/Mac user?by mark@avolution - Motion Pulling Focus (Hitchcock Vertigo Effect) - 15 years agoIt would be cool if camera had the <Apple Key> Dolly Effect that so when you dollied the camera closer to the object, the FOV automatically became more wide angle to compensate for the move forward (Think Jaws, Vertigo) In 3ds Max there is a camera controller script that allows you do such. It would be cool if you could use scripts like that. Maybe for Motion R4?by mark@avolution - Motion |
