It DOES NOT require any hardware to run. You can run it on a laptop and all the tools such as OMF import and timecode are included in the software which retails for under $600. So you will not need to buy any hardware, however if you plan on mixing a film it would be advisable to get something of quality rather than using the output of a compby Frank Nolan - Café LA Sizzle Reel editors in LA? - 13 years agoThought I'd pass this on if anyone is not busy this week and is interested Sizzle reel editor neededby Frank Nolan - Jobs Re: What do I charge? - 13 years agoAndy Field Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Disagree with the finished minute estimate -- > > a two-shot in town interview finished minute costs > far less than a graphics heavy, multi-layered, we > had to fly across the country, rent a car, hotel > and crews - finished minute. > > Clients always want a flat rate, no surpriseby Frank Nolan - Café LA Re: What do I charge? - 13 years agoJude Cotter Wrote: > For example, I recently quoted on a 12 page > script, thinking it was going to come out at about > 12 minutes long, but with all the little additions > that came in the final script, it's topped out at > more than 23 minutes long, and now being broken > into segments. 23 minutes in individual segments > is a lot more time spent that 12 minutes ofby Frank Nolan - Café LA Re: AJA Ki Pro - 13 years agoI have used the deck to record but not with FCP. I do remember reading that certain plugs on the back were reserved for future updates. I think 9 pin control was one of them and the firewire ports did not work with software version including 1.1 and earlier. I would be inclined to load in at the codec you have then edit the show and just up rez the final. Final Cut Pro suddenly distorts audio!?? - 13 years agoAhhh the Manly Ferry. Makes me home sick looking at the lines at the top of the audio files I see there is a line on the first clip played but not on the second so I would say it is a mis-matched sample rate. The clips with the lines do not match the sample rate of your session and need to be rendered.by Frank Nolan - Café LA Re: DVCPROHD i60 to 23.98... - 13 years agoHere are some links that may help. I think most bus powered drives only run at 5400rpm so if you can buy a 7200 rpm external FW drive, you should be able to get a start on the project. The RAM is below the recommended amount (I think it was 1gb back then) but it should still play one layer fine. Your other option is to down convert the footage but the drive upgrade should get you going. I had the same situationby Frank Nolan - Café LA |
