I installed Maverick since it first came without any problems since I don't use manny plug-ins. I haven't install any software or hardware. I tried opening it today and it just crashes after running all those names at the beginning and then it crashes. I have trashed the preferences and nothing. I have to get back to work. Any suggestions?by Douglas Villalba - Café LA Re: Sound sync after Maverick FC7 - 10 years agoThanks again Ben. I wrote to Blackmagic this morning and to my surprise the email be back in less than an hour. They have a new driver. I installed it and everything is back to normal. Thanks Blackmagic Design for the quick response and solution.by Douglas Villalba - Café LA Re: Sound sync after Maverick FC7 - 10 years agoThanks for the reply Ben. I have the original HD Extreme before HDMI. I have the latest driver and go out both SDI to a monitor and Component to a 42" LED. Both have a delay of about 3 second to the sound out of the Decklink. Make sure that they are 72 dpi and just large enough for your needs. If they don't have any motion keep them to 1920 x1080 in HD.by Douglas Villalba - Café LA Re: Excessive Changes. How would you charge? - 10 years agoI agree with has been said. I also encourage the client to seat with me during the editing. That way they understand how long it take to change single letter with rendering. Once the final edit is approved I get paid and then I deliver. They want changes most likely they will pay. That is not to say that if I have a regular client that is nice that I won't go the extra mile for them.by Douglas Villalba - Café LA Re: anybody running Motion 4 on a Mountain Lion ? - 10 years agoI just checked and it quits also. I can't even update 4 for some estrange reason. I am still on the original version. The only constant is ProRes. I have the 8 core late 2010 with 14 GB RAM, 5770 vCard and the original BM Extreme HD card. I have asked the same questions here with no real solution, so when the usual flickering or out of memory show their ugly face I just restart FCP7.
